About the Organization

TEPU GATE (Grow A Tree Everywhere) Project (Buliisa and Nwoya Districts) TEPU CSR is partnering with ECOTRUST to green and improve the environment as a step towards reducing the impacts of climate change in rural districts. The Overall Investment objective is to “Build Climate-Ready landscapes by growing 100,000 trees on 250ha of land from multiple holdings in 2 TEPU operational Districts (Buliisa and Nwoya) through a 12-month partnership with ECOTRUST in 2022”. This will be achieved through three investment objectives which includes the following, 1: Reforest up to 250ha from public spaces, schools, hospitals, road reserves, near TOTAL Stations in the TEPU operational districts of Buliisa and Nwoya by growing 100,000 trees. 2: Gendered Green investment campaigns for 500 women and 1000 youths to plant over 10,000 trees on 25ha of land allocated to them by schools, churches, and other institutions in in the 2 operational Districts. This will include collaborative activities with the ongoing ROOT campaign (Running Out of Trees) between MWE and TEPU 3: “Totally Green Radio Campaign” – Weekly 20-minute Radio programmes on selected radio stations to create awareness about the “GATE” campaign by ECOTRUST and TEPU CSR and ensure voluntary recruitment of land spots and community members for sustainable tree growing.enter code here
